Landscape Gallery
My landscape images are rarely broad views; my eye is drawn to details, quiet corners, and the play of light and shadow on rock faces. I revisit favourite areas and there is always something new to see and photograph. What interests me is the way the 3 dimensional world becomes translated to 2 dimensions, with the use of verticals or horizontals to divide the picture plane. Sometimes in the process of photographing the sense of perspective is lost and it can be hard to get an idea of scale and distance. These are my favourite images, when something new and ordered appears from the real landscape.
